Towers Together

May 2021

Issue 5

A message from the Principal.

Welcome to the May edition of our Towers Together newsletter.

It has been a very busy term for everyone and I think we are all looking forward to the May half term.

We'd like to congratulate our Year 11 and 13 students for the maturity they have shown in the completion of their assessments. They have really worked hard to make sure that their responses truly evidence what they know and can do. For our Year 11, they will be working virtually for two weeks after half term, before joining us for some face to face sessions to prepare them for life Post-16 and their final Lead Lessons. Then, we'll look forward to celebrating with them in summer.

For the rest of the school, we have focused on getting back into the normal routine. It has been a joy to see our specialist teachers back in their own teaching spaces, able to deliver the highest quality lessons. Students from Years 7 - 10, as well as Year 12, have been focused and hardworking, aiming towards our assessment week in Term 6.

Today, as I look out of my window, there is a break in the clouds and the sun is beginning to shine. I hope that this is the beginning of some more summery weather - and of a renewed sense of joy and purpose for us all.
