Welcome to the final Towers Together newsletter of the year. And what a year it has been!
Although we have only been back in the classroom for 17 weeks, I have been immensely proud of everything our students have achieved. Our year 10 Cheerleaders were asked to take part in the Challenger Games, our year 12s have spent the last two weeks working together as a team taking part in the NCS programme and it has been even more wonderful to hear what Towers students have been achieving in their own time, being the best versions of themselves outside in the community.
I am very excited for the Duke of Edinburgh’s award scheme to be starting in September; I will be taking part in it myself and look forward to helping to students to complete their awards. We will also have many improvements to the school building over the summer and in to the winter term, with the renovation of the Sixth form building and the rebuild of the Science block.
Lastly, I would like to thank Parents and Carers for their support. As a parent myself, I understand how tricky things have been at times, but you have been wonderful and I look forward to (hopefully!) getting back to normality.
Whatever you are doing this summer, I hope you and your families stay safe and enjoy the summer holidays.
Mr R. Billings
