In November, Year 7 and 8 Grammar Stream students took part in a university-led workshop called ‘Drop Everything and Meet the Uni Student’. They were tasked with working through a series of challenges in teams of 5-6 to find out who the mysterious new housemate was. Challenges varied from using map skills to finding their way to different university buildings, finding out what can be studied at university, extra-curricular activities on offer and code-breaking. Students also had the opportunity to write down questions they have about university and university life, which hopefully will be answered during a future visit to the University of Kent, Canterbury.
